Royal Caribbean will redeploy several ships from itineraries that have long been announced and available for booking.
Though unconfirmed, the new arrangements may be due to the cruise line’s launch of Cuba itineraries. The changes may simply cause pre-booked passengers to now sail on a substitute Royal Caribbean ship. Other cruisers, however, may be facing cancellations for their 2018 bookings. Royal Caribbean is offering passengers on canceled sailings the option to either receive a full refund with airline reimbursements or to rebook on a new Royal Caribbean ship with on board credit.
The new deployments are as follows:
- Majesty of the Seas will be leaving Port Canaveral to take over Empress itineraries in Tampa in May 2018. Passengers previously scheduled for Majesty of the Seas will now be sailing with Enchantment.
- Enchantment of the Seas will move from Galveston to Port Canaveral to beginning June 2018. As a result, Enchantment sailings between June 23, 2018, and March 13, 2019, as well as the April 19, 2019 sailing have been canceled.
Due to the redeployments, Royal Caribbean has announced that all bookings on these ships, including canceled cruises, will be unavailable to access until November 21, 2017.
We will be monitoring any other redeployments and sharing further updates.
